Dear Parent / Carer
At this point there is no change to the information in the document I provided yesterday. Although, at this time several parents are currently keeping their children at home – ‘Self-Isolating’ and are now requesting work to do with their child at home. We are in unprecedented times and, of course, our wish is to provide our young people with the continuity of education that they deserve. Broomhill Bank staff are currently working really hard to ensure this continuity; a timetable and appropriate resources will be available from Monday 23rd March so that your child can continue to study at home during this difficult time.
Subject leaders are in the process of providing arrangements to direct students to additional subject specific resources, activities and websites. This is intended to be an interim measure whilst your child is currently away from school and we await our continuation of education pack. This pack will be available through a clearly identified link which will be added to the school Website on Monday 23rd March.
Whilst there is no change in the Government advice received today in relation to schools, I do intend to speak with the Area Education Officer tomorrow regarding the continuity of education at Broomhill Bank School. I will provide you with a firm decision regarding the ongoing open status of Broomhill Bank School within the next few days.
If you do have any questions about any aspect of our ongoing approaches, please contact the school office in the first instance.
