Outreach Services

The LIFT (Local Inclusion Forum Team) forms part of the ‘Local Offer’, which supports mainstream schools to meet the needs of children with SEN (D).

Tunbridge Wells STLS Outreach Service Lead the LIFT process for the mainstream schools in Tunbridge Wells. We are based at Broomhill Bank School, which is the Service Level Agreement hold of allocated funds with which to provide support to mainstream schools.

Each LIFT Group has a termly meeting, however if schools feel that a case needs to be discuss urgently,  we may be able to consider the case at an alternative meeting to the one allocated.

At each LIFT meeting cases are explored using a solution focused approach – this has proved to be an effective method which utilises the extensive knowledge and experience of all the professionals in attendance. Through LIFT support from the STLS /Outreach team may be allocated, it also facilitates school to school support and building the capacity of the professionals in attendance.

The LIFT ‘offer’ (including STLS and Outreach) is overseen by the LIFT Executive – this group meet six times per year to review the offer and make strategic decisions regarding the use of the allocated funds and development of the service offer.

Members of the LIFT Executive include:

District Lead for STLS outreach (Chair of LIFT)
Senior Educational Psychologist
Early Years Representative
Provision and Evaluation Officer (WKent)
Lead for Primary Provision (TRACKS)
