Eco School

We achieved our bronze award in June 2008 and our silver award in spring 2009 and were delighted to be awarded the coveted Green Flag status in May 2011. The work we have completed to gain these awards includes:

      • recycling
      • conserving energy,
      • doing a water survey and getting rid of bottled water as a result,
      • looking at global warming,
      • anti litter campaigns  
      • creating a BBS slogan,
      • looking at locally sourced and seasonal food etc.

All projects have been cross curricular and evidence can be found in DT, Maths, Science, independence skills, geography lessons.

                     

This is the result of the garlic harvesting and will be used in the school kitchen
