Eco School
We achieved our bronze award in June 2008 and our silver award in spring 2009. We are currently working towards our first green flag although this has been somewhat delayed due to the building works. The work we have completed to gain bronze and silver awards includes:
- recycling
- conserving energy,
- doing a water survey and getting rid of bottled water as a result,
- looking at global warming,
- anti litter campaigns
- creating a BBS slogan,
- looking at locally sourced and seasonal food etc.
All projects have been cross curricular and evidence can be found in DT, Maths, Science, independence skills, geography lessons.
This is the result of the garlic harvesting and will be used in the school kitchen
