Behaviour Management System (BMS)

School rules and behaviour management

In order to maintain the school as a safe and happy place, all observe simple rules. These relate to respecting other people, following staff instructions, wearing the right uniform, caring for property and looking after the environment.

A "Behaviour Management System" operates throughout with modifications as appropriate to the pupil's development. The school encourages everyone to take responsibility for their behaviour and their approach to schoolwork. The B.M.S. provides sanctions and privileges for work and behaviour.

Bullying is not tolerated in any form whatsoever.

Pupils are encouraged to regularly meet, discuss and suggest improvements to the behaviour and work management systems. If necessary, the school will not hesitate to discipline, and even exclude, where behaviour is adversely affecting the learning, health and welfare of others.
