Broomhill Bank is a very " special " school, one with a proud track record of high achievement alongside an excellent reputation, both within the local community of Tunbridge Wells, in West Kent and in the South East of England .
Broomhill Bank School is Kent County Council’ s specialist provision, in 'West Kent, for pupils aged between 5 and 19 years who have a Statement of Special Educational Needs with a diagnosis of :
Severe communication and interaction difficulties associated with a combination of autism and learning difficulty
or
A specific language impairment (specific speech and/or language disorder) as opposed to language delay.
It is a co-educational day school for pupils and on site at Broomhill Bank School we have provision for ages 11 - 19. We support ages 5 to 10 through an outreach project in mainstream primary schools.
Our most recent OfSTED "education" inspection took place in October 2006 when we were judged "A good school with many outstanding features" (13 aspects graded "Outstanding" and 13 as "Good"). We have received 3 further OfSTED "care" inspections since then, resulting in our school being judged "Outstanding" on all occasions.
